| Name: | {young }Cloud Strife |
|---|---|
| Birthdate: | 1992-09-02 |
Cloud grew up in the loving embrace of a single mother, a woman who although being unmarried when she conceived the young man, made up for his lack of a father by playing both role models in his life. The town of Radiant Garden didn’t seem to mind this oddity - though many other people had made a point of getting married before they tried any funny - and did all they could to help her through this struggle. Despite his status as a ‘bastard’ child, Cloud was accepted by these children -tagging along in their games despite the fact that he was a small, somewhat sickly boy who was easily left behind in their games. He was a happy boy, a very happy boy, with no worries or doubts.
And then the heartless came.
Cloud couldn’t tell you how the other children got away. He was lost in the chaos of the streets, missing Mr. Highwind’s frantic motions and being swept up in a torrent of crazed villagers. Into the waves of Darkness he fell, tumbling down into the depths. And then he was on solid ground, in front of the Lord of the Underworld - with a torrent of memories and thoughts that weren’t his own. One arm was missing - it had been trampled and crushed in the chaos, and the Lord of the Underworld merely smiled a fanged smile and made him a deal he couldn’t refuse.
Nine years passed. Little happy Cloud died quickly in the harsh environment he’d been placed in, and a colder, stoic Cloud rose from his ashes and walked the corridors of death as if he’d never known the light. He fought viciously, rising through the ranks of the Underworld without question or opposition. He fought brutally, having no need for human attachments or danger - for his deal promised him that once he had fought enough battles, killed enough peoople - his Light would appear before him and he would be able to move up and away from all of this.
